Case Study: Training

• Customer: Navy Program Office (PO)
• Challenge: Develop a stand-alone training capability in support of a revolutionary Navy weapons and sensor system. Concurrent training system development always presents unique challenges involving close coordination with other disciplines and technical teams. To further complicate matters, components from several vendors would need to be integrated together to provide the robustness required for training.
• Solution: EMSolutions provided acquisition management, subject matter expertise and technical support in the design and development of a one-of-a-kind training capability comprised of over 120 hours of Computer Based Training (CBT), Part-Task training, and In-Flight training in a fiscally constrained environment. The resultant training capability enabled successful Fleet Introduction on-time and within budget effectively minimizing the use of operational assets for the purposes of training – our contributions to this success were paramount.
• Benefit: Our efforts supporting the acquisition and development of a 1st and 2nd generation weapon and sensor training system were instrumental in the successful employment of an exceedingly valuable Global War on Terror (GWOT) capability. We continue to provide life cycle management support across all facets of this fielded training system.
