System Planning
Requirements
analysis
We
perform requirements analysis to see that our customer's needs are
addressed. EMSolutions works with the customer to determine the
goals of the system. We work to reduce unnecessary or unintended
interactions to reduce costs and overhead.
System
Architecture
After
establishing the system requirements, we work on determining the
system architecture. This requires deciding what functions must
occur and how these functions relate to each other to meet the system
requirements. In this way we define the system's possible functional
architectures. From these possibilities we, as a team, choose an
architecture on the basis of system constraints such as cost, schedule,
etc.
- System architecture
concepts apply to each subsystem level.
- System architecture
establishes expectations for a system's usefulness, performance
and cost.
Risk
Management
Our goal
is not to eliminate risk. We strive to manage risk to acceptable
levels. Every systems engineering effort inherently contains elements
of risk. We strive to identify risks involved in meeting your systems
goals and ways to minimize these risks. There will be risks to the
system's constrained resources (i.e. the schedule, budget or functionality
of your system). A change affecting the system schedule, cost or
functionality will necessarily affect the other constraints well.
The resources dedicated to risk management are proportional to the
magnitude of the system.
